Getting Started
What is QvevriConnect?
QvevriConnect is a B2B digital marketplace connecting independent Georgian wine producers with importers and distributors worldwide. We provide tools for discovery, RFP management, sample tracking, and compliance document storage. We are a technology platform only — we do not sell, transport, or hold licenses for alcoholic beverages.
Who is QvevriConnect for?
QvevriConnect is designed for two types of users: Georgian wine producers looking to reach international importers, and licensed wine importers/distributors looking to source authentic Georgian wines.
Is QvevriConnect free to use?
Creating a profile as a producer or importer is free. Some advanced features — such as enhanced analytics, compliance document sharing, and priority placement in the directory — are available on paid subscription plans.
How do I get started?
Click Register and choose your account type (Producer or Importer). Complete your profile and you'll immediately have access to the directory and core platform features.
For Producers
Do I need to be based in Georgia to list my wines?
Yes. QvevriConnect is specifically focused on authentic Georgian wine producers. Your winery must be located in Georgia and your wines must be made from Georgian grapes using Georgian winemaking methods.
What documents do I need to export to the US?
US imports typically require a Georgian Wine Agency certificate of origin and quality, a Certificate of Analysis (lab results), a Certificate of Free Sale, and state-specific importer permits (handled by your importer). The Compliance Locker helps you store and share all of these.
How does the RFP system work for producers?
When an importer posts an RFP (Request for Proposal) for wines matching your profile, you'll receive a notification and can submit a bid directly through the platform. Importers can then compare bids and reach out to arrange samples.
Can I manage sample requests through the platform?
Yes. Importers can request samples through the platform. You'll receive the request, confirm details, and both parties can track shipment and tasting outcomes from their dashboards.
What is the Compliance Locker?
The Compliance Locker is a secure document vault where you can store certifications, organic credentials, export permits, and lab analyses. You can share individual documents with specific importers with a single click, without emailing files.
For Importers
What licenses do I need to use QvevriConnect as an importer?
You need to hold whatever federal and state licenses are required for importing alcohol in your jurisdiction (e.g. a US Importer's Basic Permit from the TTB, plus state-specific licenses). QvevriConnect is a discovery and connection platform — we don't handle the licensing process.
How do I post an RFP?
From your Importer Dashboard, go to RFPs and click New RFP. Describe the wines you're looking for (grape variety, style, volume, price range, certifications), and the RFP will be distributed to matching producers who can then submit bids.
How do I know producers are legitimate?
All producers in the directory are required to provide valid Georgian Wine Agency information. Compliance documents stored in producer Lockers are uploaded by producers and can include official certifications. We recommend always verifying key compliance documents before finalizing any agreement.
Can I compare multiple producer bids?
Yes. The RFP engine includes a side-by-side comparison view so you can evaluate bids from multiple producers on price, volume, lead time, and certifications in one place.

What languages is QvevriConnect available in?
QvevriConnect is currently available in English and Georgian. Additional language support is planned.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Compliance documents are stored with additional encryption. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
I found a bug or technical issue. How do I report it?
Email support@qvevriconnect.com with a description of the issue, your browser/device, and any screenshots if possible. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Dashboard under Settings → Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
